Representational art: art from real things and objects, depicts reality
Realism: art that is based on real things and makes them look real (not abstract or anything mythical) realistic, these are mainly old paintings.
Impressionism: painting with lots of visible strokes; represents the effect of light.
Ex: Vincent Van Gough's Starry Night
Idealism: art that deals with the soul and mind and intangible things; deals with ethics and how things should be rather than what they really are. Also with pursuing ideas.
Stylization: non naturalized conventional art, own style

Reflection:
I really liked how she taught herself to paint, but not in a traditional way like everyone else would. And i liked that she tried different things and painted on real things not normal canvases. I also like that she had just graduated, but took a chance on something without being completely sure of what she was doing. I don't know why but i thought it was really cool how she took something three dimensional and made it look two dimensional. Most people try to make things look 3-D she did everything kind of backwards and upside down. And she tried new things and just went with then. I also like how she said that her solution to paint smearing on her friends arms was to hide them like a kid who avoids drawing arms.

Van Gogh- is was an impressionist. Many of his artworks were made of many visible strokes.
Starry Night:Van Gough's most famous piece, which he made in an asylum where i think he cut his ear off. This painting is a is an impressional representational artwork.

So is this "starry night over the rhone"
I don't know whose artwork this is, but I really, really like this. I learned that impressionism isn't just a bunch of old paintings it can also be modern (not during impressionism) just as long is represents the effect of light and has a continual pattern of strokes.
Andy Warhol and Roy litchenstien were pop artists. They "blurred the line between 'high art' and 'low culture' "
I think these representational artworks would best fit under stylization because its not your typical old school painting. I really like roy litchenstein's comical style.
David Hockney was also a pop artist. I really like the colors and wackyness of his paintings. He has a very particular style.
Leonardo DaVinci and Edward Degas were realism artist's because his artwork represented something real or tangible.
Michelangelo's Creation of Adam painting is an idealism peace of artwork.
Not sure who painted this, but i think its idealism cuz he literally has an idea
This wasn't one of the words but i really like surealism. i like the wierdness of the paintings.
